What's inside

• Poke Root Oil, 100ml. Organic cold-pressed castor oil and organic wild poke root, hexane-free, in a dark glass dropper bottle. Professionally manufactured in the UK with a manufacturing partner bringing 75 years of expertise.
• Authentic 8-Herb Essiac Tea, 4oz (112g). The full traditional 8-herb formula associated with René Caisse, made from carefully sourced herbs. One pouch makes about 4 litres (134 US fl oz) of tea.
• Organic Castor Oil Wrap Kit. An adjustable waist wrap, a neck wrap and a reusable flannel insert, in soft bamboo cotton with a leak-resistant lining.

How to fit them into your day

1. Brew a batch of Essiac Tea (full instructions below) and keep it in the fridge.
2. Drink a serving on an empty stomach during the day.
3. In the evening, massage Poke Root Oil into the skin, fasten the wrap over the flannel insert and rest with a warm compress for around 15 minutes.

How to brew Essiac Tea

You'll need a stainless steel pot, and a glass jar or jug with a lid for the fridge.

Full batch: the whole 112g (4oz) pouch makes about 4 litres

1. Bring 4 litres (134 US fl oz) of water to the boil in a stainless steel pot.
2. Turn the heat down to medium and add the whole pouch, 112g (4oz) of herbs.
3. Keep it on a medium boil for 10 minutes.
4. Turn off the heat and leave the tea in the pot for 12 hours. You don't need to cover it.
5. Pour the tea into a jar or jug with the herbs still in it, and keep it in the fridge. Don't strain out the herbs.

Small batch: a quarter of the pouch makes about 1 litre

Use 1 litre (34 US fl oz) of water and 28g (1oz) of herbs, a quarter of the pouch, and follow the same steps.

Serving and storage

• Shake or stir the tea before pouring each serving, so the herbs are mixed through.
• A typical serving is about 90ml (3 US fl oz), taken on an empty stomach, up to three times a day. Leave about 2 hours after eating before a serving, and wait an hour afterwards before eating.
• Drink it cold, or mixed with a little juice.
• Keep brewed tea in the fridge and use it within three weeks.
• Store unused herbs in a cool, dark place, away from heat and direct sunlight.
